Accessibility
Ysleta Independent School District is committed to making every possible effort to ensure that all electronic and information technology developed, procured, maintained, or used by the district is accessible to people with disabilities, including both employees and the people we serve.
Our website, includes several features designed to improve accessibility for users with disabilities. Some of these features are described below.
Images on the site contain 'alt tags' which aid users who listen to the content of the site by using a screen reader, rather than reading the site. Likewise, a 'skip to' link provides these users with a method for bypassing the header and going directly to the main content each time a page is accessed.
To meet this commitment we will comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act which requires that individuals with disabilities, who are members of the public seeking information on services from us, have access to and use o information ad data that is comparable to that provided to the public who are not individuals with disabilities, unless an undue burden would be imposed on us.
To improve the accessibility of www.yisd.net, YISD has asked users with disabilities to review the site. The results of these reviews have been incorporated into the web site. If you use assistive technology (such as a Braille reader, a screen reader, TTY, etc.) and the format of any material on our web site interfere with your ability to access the information, please click on the e-mail address below for assistance. To enable us to respond in a manner most helpful to you, please indicate the nature of your accessibility problem, the preferred format in which to receive the material, the web address of the material, and your contact information.
